Fast, Feast, Detox or Cleanse?

OMG who is as confused about all the different terminologies out there? I’m specifically talking about Juicing. I am here to hopefully clear up these terms, but really it is all in your interpretation and perception of what Juicing is to you.

The word “Fast” inherently means that you are depriving yourself of something. Many cultures have historically included fasting as part of their rituals. Fasting does have a negative connotation, as there was a kind of sacrifice associated with it. Add the word “juice” in front of it and you have a kind of practice where all that is included in the fast is juice.

Add an “E” to the word Fast, and you have Feast. To me, Juice Feasting implies flooding your body with nutrients in the form of juice so the body can heal and replenish. Yum. Let’s Feast. Juice Feast.

Detox and Cleanse go hand in hand. Juice detox or Juice cleanse both refer to the action of cleaning out of your insides to aid the function of your lymph, kidney, and liver.

So which is it? Juice Fast? Juice Feast? Juice Detox? Juice Cleanse? It’s all semantics really. Regardless of the term you use, the actions are the same. Flood your body with pure, natural, nutrient dense juice for a short period of time to rid your body of toxins that build up in your system over time. Even the purest of eaters will do a cleanse/detox of sorts several times a year.

Juice feasting/fasting/cleansing is a major undertaking. Please consult with a qualified health practitioner.
