Superfoods for Diabetics

The American Diabetes Association offers this list of 10 “superfoods” that people with diabetes may want to consider incorporating into their diets:

1. Beans

2. Dark leafy greens (spinach and kale)

3. Citrus fruit

4. Sweet potato

5. Blueberries

6. Tomatoes

7. Fish high in omega-3 fatty acids (i.e.salmon)

8. Whole grains

9. Nuts

10. Fat-free milk and yogurt
